Read This Wedding Photographer’s Amazing Response to a Client Who Opposes Gay Marriage

Like a large part of the online world, wedding photographer Clinton Brentwood Lee uploaded a post on his business’ Facebook page in support of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on marriage equality last week.

“I think it’s important to show support for gay marriage because we are all human beings just wanting the same thing,” he told Buzzfeed about the decision.

While most people reacted positively to Lee’s message, one client was not so fond of putting their money towards a business that supports marriage beyond exclusively between a man and a woman:

Greetings Brentwood. We would just like to inform you we will NOT be using your services for out [sic] wedding. My fiancé and I support traditional marriage between a man and a woman and don’t want our money going to places that supports [sic] otherwise. Secondly I would like to inquire about how we can get our retainer back from you. Thanks.

Lee’s response was pure gold:

For his client, the outcome could not be more bitter.

Lee, meanwhile, wishes he “could see [his] client’s face as she reads how her intolerance has backfired.”

So do we.
