Raging Canadians Force Hudson’s Bay to Remove ”Make Canada Great Again’ Hats

Canadians protested this week with a gusto labour rights, tuition costs, and pension concerns could never hope to evoke.

“Completely unacceptable and disgusting. Tell everyone you know to boycott Hudson’s Bay until they wise up,” remarked one Twitter user.

“OK – this is so wrong, on so many levels!!” exclaimed another.

“NO NO NO NO. Racist, xenophobic garbage. Not in my country,” were the words of a particularly perturbed individual.

So, what the hell happened? Did Hudson’s Bay make a multi-million-dollar contribution to the Republican party? No, worse – they stocked an imitation MAGA hat displaying the words ‘Make Canada Great Again’.

People really lost their minds.

So much so, in fact, that Hudson’s Bay – a company historically more Canadian than the beaver – was forced to pull the MCGA hats from its shelves amid fears that the public backlash would drive customers to Sears. (Jk, Sears doesn’t exist anymore).

“It was never our intention to offend and we have removed this product from our assortment,” the company said in an emailed statement to the Huffington Post.

It should be noted that the politically loaded lid wasn’t Hudson’s Bay’s creation. That honour goes to The Los Angeles Trading Company, a repository of truly forgettable products.
