The Purple Elephant Campaign is hosting an event to create awareness for Alzheimer’s disease on October 11, 2012 at 144 Locus in Liberty Village (171 East Liberty Street).

In spite of the efforts of those working with the Alzheimer’s community, many are still unaware of the disease or are uneducated as to its global impact. Alzheimer’s disease is NOT an “old persons” disease. Early diagnoses happens in people as young as 50; think about how you would you feel if your parents started forgetting who you are.

Together, we can help create awareness of the disease and educate people as to why it is so important to start living healthy at a young age. New routines, hobbies, diets, activities and languages are a sure way to boost your memory and keep it strong.

Join on October 11th to help spread awareness and raise funds for Alzheimer’s Disease. Proceeds and donations are given to Alzheimer’s Disease International for further research to help find a cure.
