Program Announced for Montreal Fashion Week’s 25th Anniversary

Although we still have a few weeks to go, Groupe Sensation Mode announced the full program for the 25th anniversary edition of Montreal Fashion Week today. A week entirely dedicated to fashion, the festivities will be taking place September 3 to 6 at the Arsenal contemporary art complex in Montreal. Produced and presented by in collaboration with COVERGIRL and Pantene Pro-V, the event will feature the collections and contributions of local designers shaping fashion in Canada and internationally.

To mark the 25th anniversary of MFW, Groupe Sensation Mode chose to invite designers to show their collections without charging a participation or production fee, a first for a fashion week in Montreal. Now there’s a notable act of giving! Let’s get to the nitty gritty of what you can expect for MFW S/S 2014:

Tuesday, September 3: Pedram Karimi, Muse par Christian Chenail, Bodybagby jude (15th anniversary), Dinh Bà Design (10th anniversary), Mélissa Nepton and UNTTLD. Thursday, September 5: Oldwig, atelier b., Cokluch, Nisse, Annie 50, Rush Couture and Helmer.

Friday, September 6: Impair, Brit Wacher, Maryline Baril, Caroline Constas, Xavier Laruelle, Ève Gravel, Travis Taddeo (Spring 2014 presentation) and Martin Lim.

Of course, we didn’t forget about Wednesday, the only day where the events will be held off-site at various locations… so start mapping your calendar out for the following:

Cabinet Éphémère, a creators’ nomad boutique, is the first event for the general public taking place in the old Parisien movie theatre where 20 creators will show their original artworks designed specifically for the event (from September 4-8).

Old Montreal will host the FLASHMODE evening at Auberge St-Gabriel showcasing the neighbourhood’s fashion talent and its offer of Québécois design. Taking place at Auberge St-Artistic. Participating boutiques include Boutique Denis Gagnon, Espace Pépin, Quai 417, PRFKT par Europa, Nu.I by Vickie, Boutique Anne de Shalla, Symbiose by hinda A. and Studio Travis Taddeo.

Here’s the party to be at: Cocktail 100% Mode by ELLE Québec in collaboration with CHANEL will be an invitation-only event that will mark a collaboration between the magazine and the fashion?house, featuring a performance from DJ Ève Salvail.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy and pose on the Clin d’oeil red carpet. The public has several options for exclusive access to MFW S/S 14: a four-day passport for $175, a one-day pass for $75, or a ticket to the fashion show of their choice for $25. Tickets are available online through Ticketpro (semainemodemontreal.ca).
