The Royals Are under Fire over a Photo of Prince George Feeding Their Dog Ice Cream

There’s a new photo of Prince George that’s getting a lot of attention – and not because he looks so damn adorable.

Of course, he does look adorable, but the focus is on the actions of the royal three-year-old.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated Prince George’s third birthday with a series of touching family photographs.

One photo, in particular, has come under fire from animal-loving critics.

That’s because it shows Prince George feeding ice cream to their family dog, Lupo. Anyone who’s ever owned a dog (and even those who haven’t) knows that dogs are highly allergic to dairy products.

Giving a dog ice cream could cause serious digestive issues.

Not to mention, the cold treat was apparently coated in white chocolate, and equally as bad – if not worse – food for our four-legged friends. Chocolate can lead to everything from vomiting to seizures and death in dogs.

The image shows Prince George with a somewhat mischievous grin offering the spaniel some of his white chocolate ice cream.

Naturally, critics responded in the only way they know how, and a growing number of furious tweets condemning the couple have accumulated on the internet. One user even called the little boy a ‘monarchist monster,’ and another suggested he should go to prison for his actions.

One thing’s for sure: just because you’re royalty (and really cute) doesn’t mean you’re an exception to the rule. And the social media jury will make sure the royal couple hears that loud and clear.
