Michael Phelps’ new Under Armour commercial is pretty much everything.
The 90-second spot, which is free of dialogue, features the 18-time Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer in all of his gruelling pre-Olympic training (and bearded) glory as he prepares for his final Olympic Games before retirement.
The powerful ad shows the dedication, sweat, and pain that goes into being a world-class athlete. It’s part of the sportswear brand’s ‘Rule Yourself’ campaign, which highlights the backstories behind shiny hardware and world records accompanied by the slogan, “It’s what you do in the dark that will put you in the light.”
If watching the video doesn’t inspire you to hit the gym after work, we’re not sure what will.
