Party in the Name of Creativity at the Annual Design Exchange Celebration

On Saturday, November 7, Design Exchange will host its annual party to celebrate all things creative.

From that first sentence alone, you already know it’s an event not to miss.

Not only is a Design Exchange event always innovative, creative, and complete with a guaranteed sense of discovery, you can expect a crowd of the most connected and influential individuals in Toronto’s arts, culture, and social scene.

This year, the event honours the chance meeting of two individuals who have inspired and influenced the international world of design with DX Intersection: KISMET, a celebration of the serendipitous partnership of Ontario natives George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg. Each year, DX recognizes a Canadian individual or partnership that exemplifies creativity, outstanding talent, and innovative vision. Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, founders of Yabu Pushelberg, are awardees of DXI 2015.

After meeting in university, another stroke of fate united them a few years later, marking the start of a partnership in business and in life.

Presented by The Rug Company, DX Intersection: KISMET is naturally one of the hottest tickets this season.

Talk shop with some of Toronto’s most innovative minds as you dance, eat, drink, and celebrate a night of promising kismet, immersed in a fusion of design disciplines and creative cultures. This means passing installations curated by Yabu Pushelberg, culinary adventures from some of the city’s most creative caterers, and entertainment that includes live music and performances by DJ Lina Bradford and Nomi Ruiz (Jessica 6 and Hercules & Love Affair), as well as Sam Sparro.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a Best Costume award that will land the winner a two-night stay with dinner at Park Hyatt New York (flights complimentary of Porter Airlines) and a $2500 gift card for Saks Fifth Avenue New York. If you now need some costume inspiration, you can find it here.

So don’t miss the chance to make that next great personal or professional connection before the ensuing holiday madness hits.
