Our Favourite Cheap Eats in Montreal

For all you young professionals out there looking for an above-par meal at a cool restaurant that won’t cost a fortune, you are in luck – they exist! Whether it’s just for you and some friends, or to impress an important date, colleague or client, here are some restaurants that won’t break the bank but will certainly leave you recommending them to others.

Comptoir Charcuteries et Vins4807 St. Laurent
This cozy spot in Mile End is simple, delicious, and affordable! It offers some of the best charcuteries in the city, but has plenty to offer for carnivores and herbavores alike. We suggest their charcuterie plate, a beet and goat cheese salad, and pappardelle with giblets.

La Fabrique3609 Saint Denis
This trendy restaurant on St. Denis specializes in deliciously daring French cuisine with a fusion twist. On top of the beautiful food put out by Chef Jean-Baptiste Marchand, the portions are also incredibly generous. The menu constantly changes so you can go back time and time again and always enjoy a new experience. Their brunch is highly recommended!

Nonya151 Bernard
Yet again, Outrement brings us a notable young professional hot spot. This amazing restaurant features our favourite Indonesian cuisine that the city has to offer for an incredible price. Make sure to order the laksa (yellow curry soup with chicken, egg and vermicelli rice noodles) and enjoy the incredibly modern presentation of their a la carte dishes.

Cuisine et Dependance4902 St. Laurent
Cuisine et Dependance is a go-to neighborhood spot that is constantly evolving and trying new things to offer delicious dishes at affordable prices. This resto is the epitome of market fresh cuisine, serving around a dozen dishes composed of ingredients offered by its suppliers.
