Forbes Reveals Osheaga is One of the 10 Most Successful Music Festivals in the World

Montreal’s Osheaga music festival is the seventh most successful in the world.

So, what constitutes successful, exactly? Well, since the list was compiled by Forbes, we’re obviously talking cash money here. At $9.25 million USD, Osheaga is among the highest-grossing weekends in music anywhere in the world. Its 135,000 attendees also make it the third-most visited among the top 10, trailing only Coachella and San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival.

Coachella, the second-most visited, is by far the highest-grossing, raking in $84.26 million USD last year. Outside Lands sits in the two spot at $24.3 million USD, followed by Stagecoach festival, the Coachella of country, at $21.88 million.

Coachella, of course, is aided by the fact that it spans two weekends, while all others in the top 10 are one-weekend affairs. Interestingly, Lollapalooza’s Brazil outpost scored a spot on the list while its original U.S. edition did not.
