Open Roof Festival Presents Conan OBrien Cant Stop

On August 11th, Open Roof Festival presents Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop, a documentary about Conan O’Brien’s “Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour” that followed after his dismissal from The Tonight Show. Open Roof Festival’s moviegoers will be treated to a live performance by Toronto band Locomotive 8.

Weather permitting, August 11th should be a highlight of Open Roof Festival. SPiN TO, Toronto’s new ping pong experience to open at the end of August, adds some flare by hosting the first ever PUMA/SPiN TO Open at the Amsterdam Brewery. Dubbed as a “ping pong tourney for the newbie and the pro,” participants will enjoy some paddle excitement, with the winner walking away with a PUMA bike. Sign up is at 7:30pm at the event on a first come first serve basis, and playing begins at 8pm. Also, continuing the Festival’s love of the food truck movement, which has included guests such as Smoke’s Poutinerie and El Gastronomo, Toronto’s darling Caplansky’s joins us with their truck Thundering Thelma for some of their acclaimed eats! Think dinner, movie, music, and beer now at Open Roof Festival.

Open Roof Festival is a Toronto summer movie series located outdoors with the city as its backdrop. Each night of the festival – running Thursdays until September 1st – will feature a live band and a great flick under the nighttime hue of city lights. The mandate of Open Roof Festival is to provide Toronto with an outdoor summer experience that highlights independent artists from Canada and around the world. It’s more than just another night at the movies, it’s an evening of arts and entertainment in support of Toronto’s independent film community.
