On Our Shopping Radar: Mine & Yours Gets Bigger & Badder

2 x 2 x 2.

That’s two weeks to go, two floors, and twice the size.

Offering a cash-in or trade up business model, it’s taken little more than a year for Mine & Yours to become the consignment store of choice for Vancouver women.

And their new, larger location will be filled with even more gently worn clothes – sometimes new with tags attached – from the likes of Helmut Lang, Chanel, Alice & Olivia, J Brand, Stuart Weitzman, Zara, and all the other labels you lust after.

Aside from truly amazing one offs – a couch full of Louis Vuitton novelty pieces or the intricate, ready-to-wear ball skirt by Matthew Williamson – loyal shoppers come across both classic and in-season must-haves that are 70% cheaper than retail prices.

Can’t make it in? Don’t worry, the Mine & Yours ladies stay well connected. A recently launched online shop opens up the e-commerce door for those near or far. But the real hot spot is Instagram where goods are shared, sometimes right after closet buys and before they even hit the sales (or virtual sales) floor.

The best pieces? Often snapped up before you have the chance to double tap.

And girlfriends, while you can’t consign for your other half just yet, hang tight – word is pop-up shops are coming and the boys are being kept top of mind.

The big move will be quick as they shift down the block to 1062 Hornby.

Talk about giving women what they want.
