Serious luxury was on display in the form of well-dressed party attendees ready for the races, along with cocktails and wine as well as a fine selection of lavish-looking cars thanks to venue host Miles End Motors, who’ll be sponsoring the Deighton Cup Field of Dreams.

First off, nab a spot at The Winners Circle, an exclusive preview of the sixth annual Deighton Cup. Horses meet horsepower and bubble will meet Bourbon at the Mile End Motors showroo and guests get the inside track on the food, fashion and fun that make The Deighton Cup one of Vancouver’s most anticipated summer parties.
New for this year’s event, Deighton Cup has partnered with West Van-based Baracos and Brand (for the guys) and Blush Bridal (ladies) for the first-ever Deighton Cup Style Stakes that will see one sharp man and sleekly decked out woman anointed as “Best Dressed” at the Deighton Cup by Style Director Crystal Carson and a panel of celeb judges. Major bonus points: they’ll get to pony up to the mic and present the Deighton Cup to the winning horse and have their name engraved on the Deighton Cup.
Don’t miss a catered affair guaranteed to set the stage for a weekend of fun at The Big Smoke. Cigars, scotch and whisky tastings meld with a succulent pig roast overseen by Cocktails & Canapés’ Executive Chef, Brett Turner. It’s a summertime must at the Deighton Cup event.
The 2nd Annual Cocktail Jockey Mixology Competition, presented by Bulleit Bourbon will get guests shaken and stirred as the city’s top bartenders compete before an all-star bar panel to win bragging rights and $1000 cash. The competition will take place in the custom-constructed Jockey Lounge on the roof of the Hastings Racetrack.
General admission to the event includes access to the full afternoon race schedule, the Mile End Motors Field of Dreams (for some great photo opps and drooling), and the rooftop Cocktail Jockey lounge. A BBQ lunch by Cocktails & Canapés and custom-crafted welcome cocktail are included in the ticket price.
