It seems like just yesterday that we were raving about INK Entertainment’s latest hot spot in the city, Cabana Pool Bar. Well, here we are again, set to introduce what will surely be a jewel for cocktail connoisseurs and aficionados.
July 25 marks the unofficial grand opening (private only) of The Cocktail Parlor at STORYS in a three-way collaboration between the venue, Icon Legacy and INK Entertainment. As if the chic Duncan Street hospitality complex wasn’t notable enough on its own, patrons can now look forward to a modern interpretation of the golden era of classic cocktails and stylishly discreet lounges, inviting you to sip and savour over 60 custom libations and spirit-inspired snacks.
There’s lots of room for imagination, too: “Come here and make your own world,” says INK Entertainment CEO Charles Khabouth, as he describes the space’s 1920s and 30s grandeur. You’ll have no problem finding your groove, with comfortable chairs abound and light music flowing in the background to set the tone.
“Although the space finds its inspiration from the Prohibition era, the parlour’s premium handcrafted cocktails, innovative snacks and contemporary design features elevate it to a bespoke experience,” adds Icon Legacy CEO Hanif Harji.
Harji and Khabouth are a familiar partnership, of course, having recently launched Weslodge and Patria on the King West entertainment strip (alongside a plethora of other iconic venues such as FSTOP, Ultra, Cube, Blowfish and The Guvernment).
Diners can expect a taste of Weslodge and Patria at the new digs, as Chef Stuart Cameron (Executive Chef at both) heads the kitchen with his culinary gems. Cameron’s dishes compliment the vibe, which are fun and tasty, yet technically driven.
The mix of refined cocktail culture and expressive cuisine makes Parlor a sure-fire hot spot for the after-work and late-night crowd. Whether for a casual business meeting or social meet-up, this space offers that extra edge you’re looking for to make a permanent impression.
