On Our Radar: Mutts & Co. Variety Store Vancouver

We’re all about discovering great new local spots to shop around town and especially love discovering locally and Canadian-made brands while we’re at it, so news that the popular Toronto-based pop-up variety store Mutts & Co. had arrived in Vancouver for the first time piqued our interest.

Not your average pop-up shop, this Vancouver edition of Mutts & Co. is definitely one worth noting and goes beyond the usual collective shopping aspect offered by most standalone pop-up boutiques. It features a smattering of educational workshops, free haircuts, up-dos (for the ladies), a Knit & Bitch session we’ll be checking out, and, in partnership with Victory Gardens, gardening DIY lessons to help get you ready for the fall/winter season.

Of course we’re mostly excited about the hundreds of vendors who are on site from across Canada featuring unique designs, accessories and original artwork (some of which aren’t yet featured in stores around Vancouver).

Variety is definitely on the agenda at Mutt & Co., and there’s no shortage of items waiting to be found. Look for pieces from Raised By Wolves, jewellery by Cuchara, bike accessories from HMPL and Flying Pigeon Bicycles, Twenty One Tonnes houseware items and men’s and women’s personal care products (Young Blood and Crown Shaving Co.)…and more. Also available for the first time in Vancouver: unisex sportswear from the organizers’ own Muttonhead Collective line.

Mutt & Co. Variety Store is on daily until October 14th from 11am until 7pm at 434 Columbia Street.
