Taking over the former home of Fare Game at 195 Carlton Street, Irv Gastro Pub is looking to provide Cabbagetown with some classic pub fare that contains an inspired modern twist.
Executive Chef Dave de Faria just released his menu last night and its combination of fun and fresh includes everything from P.E.I. Mussels to Truffle and Parmesan Popcorn. You’ll also find a Creamy Atlantic Lobster Bisque (that’s right, we mentioned the bisque), Halibut Tacos, and Lobster Mac n’ Cheese Sliders.
The website’s giant counter informs us it’s only 10 days until you can storm the doors and settle into a Cheddar Mac and Pulled Pork Waffle Cone. With two patios operating come springtime, this sounds like a great place to yada-yada away an entire evening or two over local craft beer and some creative cocktails.
