We’ve wondered all summer long what new food venture would be taking over the abruptly closed Panzorotto Pizza that had been a Queen West staple for many years.
Well, we got our answer.
Opening in its spot in less than 10 days is a new seafood sandwich shop aptly titled Fresh Off the Boat.
It’s sure to bring something different to the somewhat predictable Queen and Spadina lunch scene, with a preliminary menu consisting of fresh fish, crab, lobster, and po’boy sandwiches.
While we don’t yet know if their food will live up to the hype their Twitter account has set us up for, we do hope they get it right.
Toronto isn’t exactly thriving in the seafood department, and a fresh spin on the predictable lunch sandwich is something we’d really look forward to.
Look out, Rock Lobster, you’ve got some competition moving into the neighborhood.
