After a long day at work, the last thing on your mind is remembering to push in your chair.
But this could be a chore of the past thanks to Nissan’s self-driving technology.
The Japanese carmaker has applied the program that lets vehicles park themselves to workplace furniture, making the office a whole lot tidier as Nissan’s Intelligent Parking Chair returns itself to its starting position at the sound of a clap.
The Intelligent Parking Chair can turn 360 degrees, and is capable of locating a target position with the help of four cameras, placed throughout the room, similar to the ones used on a self parking car.
Unfortunately a Nissan spokesperson confirmed that the company has no plans (for now) to make the self-parking chairs commercially available.
Which is probably for the best, imagine if applause erupted during an exciting board meeting? Total. Chaos.
