Ah… brunch. The staple weekend warrior halftime. Somewhere between Hangover A and Hangover B. Probably our favourite meal of the week, we’ve often wondered what brunch would be like on weekdays… y’know, because pretty much no one serves it outside the confines of Saturday/Sunday.
All that’s changed, however, with the recent opening of Me & Mine near College and Dufferin. This hip li’l joint is all about the breakfast-meets-lunch mealtime, and we couldn’t be any happier.
The food’s outside the norm (think kale and goat cheese tortes and mini pork pies), and that’s just how we like it nowadays. (Who says creativity’s overrated?) The decor’s light and airy, with an interesting leather mosaic making up an almost outdoorsy-feeling mural. But the best part is that brunch is always on.
Me & Mine does plan on launching a dinner menu sometime in the near future, but that doesn’t tickle our fancy. (We’ve enough spots for post-work nosh.) For now, we’ll have ours, and you have yours, at the city’s most delightful new venue.
