Notable Video Recap: Diesel’s Pancake Breakfast With Chuck Hughes

Montreal’s finest in food, fashion and lifestyle joined forces in support of DIESEL’s Pancake Breakfast to raise money for the ONEXONE foundation this past Wednesday morning.

Taking place outside the DIESEL flagship store in downtown Montreal, pancakes were cooked and served to the public by our city’s favourite celebrity chef, Chuck Hughes.

Chuck also had the help of Le Bremner chef and Top Chef Canada alumni Danny Smiles who flipped away with enthusiasm and buttery pancake love.

Famed denim experts DIESEL organized the event in support of ONEXONE’s newly launched “Million Meals Movement,” with an objective to alleviate food insecurity by bringing a million meals to hungry children in North America.

People came out in masses to support the cause and indulge in a couple of pancakes, along with delicious Miss Pret-à-Manger smoothies and fresh Starbucks coffee – all of which were free with a contribution. Béatrice Martin (Coeur de Pirate), Jonas, Kris LeTang, Ryan Stevenson, Isabelle Racicot, Geneviève Borne, Jeff Stinco, Chéli Sauvé-Castonguay, Francisco Randez and Patrick Langlois were just a few of the local celebs who dropped by to help flip and enjoy the beats being mixed by DJ YO-C and DJ Abeille.

ONEXONE’s Founder and CEO, Joey Adler, also joined the team in front of the burners and was quickly flipping pancakes herself.

The sun was out and shining on the DIESEL storefront by the end of the morning event, which raised enough money to feed 3,500 children a healthy breakfast.
