Notable VDay Restos in Toronto

Yes, yes. Valentine’s Day is upon us. This day of long-stemmed red roses, chocolates, plush teddy bears adorned with hearts and all the rest is also a day of dates, PDA in restos, and “There’ll be only one stop” cab rides. The hardest part? Deciding where to take your lovebug. The easiest part? Reading this list of happening VDay restos and dialing in for a reservation…

Estiatorio Volos
This fantastic Greek restaurant serves up some astonishingly well-executed cuisine. The room is vibrant yet subdued, dim but airy. The service here is amazing, as is the selection of Greek wines. For the big day there’s a chef’s tasting menu, so make your reservation now.

Mideastro Yorkville
We wrote about Mideastro a couple weeks ago, and since have been dreaming about going back. Plush leathers and intricate stone work abound here. The wine list was culitvated by Master Sommelier Bruce Wallner, and the Middle East meets the Mediterranean fusion is tops. They’re doing a $70/person prix fixe menu for the day of love.

Blowfish
Also offering up a $70/person prix fixe VDay menu, Blowfish on King is calling theirs Love It. Conversely, if you’re single on the 14th, grab your other non-paired peeps and head over for Blowfish on Bay’s Leave It, a celebration for singles.

SPiN Toronto
A ping pong social club on Valentine’s? Yes indeed. SPiN is hosting Bloody Valentine Massacre, and looking for gore-garbed party-zens to show up ready for a night of pong, fake blood, and silly screams.

King West Kitchen
They’ve got a special prix fixe menu for VDay. (Shocking!) KiWe can be counted on for having pretty decent service, consistent dishes, and a cool vibe, so it’s definitely a good spot to bring your Valentine.

Modus Ristorante
This Financial District hot spot has garnered tons of acclaim since opening, and it couldn’t be a better place for a love nest on the 14th. Order up some superb wines, a decadent meal, and an indulgent dessert…with two forks.
