Notable St. Patrick’s Day Party Spots in Toronto

We’re but hours (albeit technically quite a few) from St. Patrick’s Day’s green touch. But the city is all aflitter in prep. While the thrill of so many authentic and near-authentic Irish pubs and bars to wiggle into at its apex, there are many an event to note to ensure Plans A through D are set before you head out on your drinkathon. Here are five we’re looking at checking out…

St. Party’s Day
Don’t let the fact that it’s sponsored by Budweiser deter you. St. Party’s Day down at Ontario Place is a weekend-long event that will see thousands out in their green garb, singing O Danny Boy and doing the Riverdance.

Irish I Wasn’t Hungover Brunch
The Drake Hotel’s doing up a fancy Irish brunch to kick off your St. Paddy’s Day attack. With Drake’s Irish Caesar on the menu to help fuel your fighting spirit, this will be one awesome way to kick off the day.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
What would March 17th be without a proper parade? Just another excuse to get sauced, that’s what. Before imbibing like it’s your religion, pay homage to the Emerald Isle at the annual parade.

St. Partrick’s Day Loft Party
We’d call this more St. Practice Day Loft Party. The Burroughes Building will play host to a rowdy crowd starting the Celtic celebrations a few hours before the stroke of midnight.

Keep Calm and Get Your Irish On
Steam Whistle Brewery will be one happening joint on Sunday, too. Celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with the Good Beer Folks, and rest assured they won’t run out of the eau de vie (read: beer).
