Notable Spring Styles at Plenty Boutique

After having happily ditched our umbrella at the door, we were greeted by the PR gals behind the Plenty brand and ushered in to meet the rest of the team. With tasty bites courtesy of Railtown Catering, we whet our palates with a sampling from The Juice Truck (loving the evening’s spiked Juice Cleanse) and meandered our way around the massive, multi-story space overflowing with spring and summer finds.

DJ beats prevailed until Joy Pecknold took to the stage, pausing to entertain the gathering crowd with her own ‘fashionable’ accent as she set about to present the season’s go-to looks. With help from the ladies behind The Fashion Common, top trends and tips were showcased.

Plenty

Our take? Style-savvy young professionals ought to look for plenty of bright colours this season (think cobalt blue, coral, and pistachio-mint hues) and loads of bold patterns, and florals melded with bright colour-blocked styles. Breezy fabrics, silks and flowing cotton, as well as linen-materials, abound.

Look for smartly cut, slinky tuxedo-style blazers in long and waist-cut lengths in a variety of colours too. Denim of all styles (prints, hues, washes and aging) are a must for the upcoming season – and can parlay well from work to play, West Coast style. Labels we’re loving: Mink Pink, Propaganda and Monk & Lou to name a few. Also, don’t forget about the boys! Plenty sure doesn’t and houses a great selection of labels the young professional guy will love too. Check out their lookbook here.
