Ox and Angela
One of our favourite neighbourhood restaurants on 17 Avenue, Ox and Angela is dedicated to the easy, comfort food dining attitudes of Spain. Enjoy tapas-style dishes with friends as you sip your favourite beverage. They recently extended their hours and are open for lunches, offering $3 glasses of Cava to celebrate. Can you think of a better reason to enjoy a glass of afternoon bubbles?
Vin Room
Located in the Old Mission Cycle Building (2310-4th St. SW), Vin Room is stocked with over 100 wines. Enjoy the freedom of being able to explore multiple wines before committing to a bottle or glass purchase by sampling wine by the ounce or by the glass. Paired perfectly is a bold gourmet menu designed to complement the wine. When it comes to bubbles, it doesn’t matter what day of the week it is – Vin has you covered.
Every day from 4-7pm, the Vin Room features sparkling wines and champagne, a special that is extended for the entire day on Sundays and Mondays.
Classic Jacks
Located in the heart of 17 Avenue SW, Classic Jacks is a place where community meets great food, wine and world beers. This is a regular spot for YPs who want to catch up with friends, catch live music (YP Jocelyn Alice performs every Wednesday evening) and leave pretensions at the door. As for bubbles, this one is for the ladies. Every Saturday evening they offer $6 glasses of Col de Salicci Prosecco, and $30 bottles. Take it up a notch and pair your bubbles with the $1 shucked oysters on special.
