Notable Romantic Spots for Valentine’s Day in Vancouver

Get cozy at Tavola for a taste of Italian. This charming West End spot filled up pretty much every night due to its buzzing atmosphere, amazing food and eclectic mix of attentive staff that always delivers spot-on service. Grab a table for two indoors, or scope out the covered and heated patio (corner spot) and get cozy. 1829 Robson Street.

The Parker (237 Union Street) is the perfect spot to head to if you’re looking for something a bit different from the dietary norm given it’s completely vegetarian.  Located on the fringes of Chinatown and Gastown, the room is small, sexy and sustainable. Always abuzz with activity, it’s still easy to score a cozy table for two (or sit at the bar) to enjoy culinary creations courtesy of Top Chef Canada’s Curtis Luk. Set the mood by starting off with one of award-winning cocktail creator Steve Da Cruz’s delicious concoctions (the amaretto royal sour is our pick).

La Terrazza (1088 Cambie Street) is where you’ll want to head if you’re feeling flush and looking for a spot to seriously impress your date. Around for more than 15 years, this award-winning restaurant is tucked away on the edge of all the Yaletown action – yet feels as though you’re in Tuscan enoteca. Start with cocktails in the lounge area before moving into the main dining room. Rich, dark wood, a massive wine display, refined authentic Italian cuisine and service ensure every aspect of the evening will go off without a hitch.

Bambudda (99 Powell Street) is where you’ll want to head if you’re looking for a hip new spot to see and be seen come Valentine’s Day. This place has been on our radar for a while with their take on modern Chinese melded with tapas-style offerings (what’s more romantic than sharing?) The main room is sleek, sexy and lively – guaranteed to keep the romantic energy alive well into the wee hours.

The Emerald East Van Supperclub is another stylish option to consider when looking to book your Valentine’s Day date.  New to the Vancouver dining scene, it offers up a decidedly cool throwback to decadent era that’ll definitely impress your guest with its old school ‘Vegas’ charm, opulent décor and a menu that is full of tasty bites meant for sharing… not to mention a stellar cocktail list you’ll want to drink your way through. Feeling the need to really impress your date? Book out their private ‘boardroom’ for a night of romance. 555 Gore Street
