Western Canada’s largest and best tequila festival is back and ready to take over the Hyatt Regency Hotel for another year.  Tequila lovers can taste their way through nearly 40 different brands as they celebrate the 3rd anniversary of this popular event. EAT! Vancouver (May 30 to June 1, BC Place Stadium)
This weekend, head down to BC Place for three full days of all things food, cooking, entertaining, and culinary travel found inside the stadium at Canada’s largest festival of its kind. Chopped Canada judges Lynn Crawford, Chuck Hughes, and Vikram Vij will take the Food Network Celebrity Stage, joined by Ned Bell of Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Rob Feenie of Cactus Club Restaurants. VCBW (May 30 to June 7, various locations)
Don’t miss one of the largest craft beer festivals Vancouver has to offer starting just in time for the weekend. Celebrating its 5th anniversary, VCBW is back and features nine signature events, 12 events and a full week of special offerings. Get the hop ball rolling and catch The Peak’s VCBW Opening Night with Prevail (Swollen Members), sip more than 30 craft beers and mingle with brew-minded friends. Made In Strathcona (May 31, various locations)
Get to know the bustling community of Strathcona this weekend and partake in an afternoon tour. Learn more about the more than 500 businesses that call historic Strathcona home (including Hootsuite, Aritzia, and JJ Bean to name a few). This Saturday’s tour focuses on manufacturing and hidden gems with a reception and drinks at The Settlement Building (formerly known as Vancouver Urban Winery). FUEL Vancouver (May 30, various locations)
Don’t miss this weekend’s inaugural FUEL event, a for-profit social enterprise showcasing public, large-scale conversations that explores various topics including environmental, social and technological shifts impacting our time. FUEL is a collaborative infrastructure to see ideas brought to fruition. It’s a multi-day event that brings together top leaders, designers, entrepreneurs and engaged citizens and explores major sectors such as design, food, sustainability and technology.
