After undergoing a full overhaul of their 104-year-old space, Executive Chef Marc-Andre Choquette and Restaurant Chef Tret Jordan and team are almost ready to welcome patrons to their rotisserie cafe and bar in Yaletown. Be sure to catch the final weekend of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival that has all but taken the city by musical storm. One of the city’s largest festivals, Jazz Fest features hundreds of artists playing various venues around town over a two-week period, with heavy hitting names such as Herbie Hancock, Quincy Jones, Macy Gray and more. Canada Day on Granville Island (July 1, 1689 Johnson Street)

Central City Brewing Summer Cask Festival 2013 (13450 102nd Avenue)
Tickets are now on sale for yet another of Central City’s award-winning cask festivals that features more than 30 casks from BC and northwest breweries. They’ll be featured along with plenty of live music, an open patio and more. Tickets are $30 for this event, including a custom tasting glass, three drink tokens and a guaranteed good time (extra tokens are only $1).
