Grab your Growler and head down to the fringes of Gastown to get a fresh fill courtesy of Vancouver’s newest brewery to open its doors.  Located in the renamed and revamped Settlement Building (that also houses the Belgard Kitchen), pop by for a custom brewed pint and pub-style bite. Food Cart Fest (June 29th at 215 W. 1st Ave)
Food Cart Fest is back for another summer full of food-fuelled fun in the heart of False Creek’s Olympic Village. On from 12pm-5pm every Sunday throughout the summer, this festival gathers over 20 of Vancouver’s top food carts presented by Arrival and The Streetfood Vancouver Society. It’s a full afternoon of food, fun, and sun complemented by community markets, live music and DJs, craft food vendors, live entertainment activities and more. Sunset Beach Social (June 27th, Sunset Beach, Vancouver)
Organized by the people behind Food Cart Fest, don’t miss this Friday’s first-ever Sunset Beach Social featuring a sand castle competition with $500 up for grabs, roller disco, live music, pop-up Blim market with more than 20 vendors, and plenty of food trucks offering up tasty bites. Science World After Dark (June 27th, 7-10pm, 1455 Quebec St)
Start off the long weekend and check out this fun, adults-only event that takes place at Vancouver’s Science World. Mix, mingle and challenge yourself to a series of athletic feats in the new Science of Sport exhibition, then explore the science centre in a 19+ atmosphere (there is a bar to add to the fun). Tickets are $25.50 and can be purchased here.

Score plenty of locally made and grown goods at one of Vancouver’s farmers markets this Saturday. Plan to make a day of it and head over to the Trout Lake farmers market early in the day before heading over to check out the West End and new Kerrisdale farmers markets.
