Just Opened: Tallboys Craft Beer Bar
Just a couple weeks ago the city got another injection of craft beer excellence with the opening of Tallboys Craft Beer House at 838 Bloor Street West. This Bloorcourt area bar/pub focuses on, not surprisingly, craft beers served in the ‘tallboy’ can. It also features a notable selection of grub like the Koreatown burger and Basa fish tacos.

Just Opened: Momofuku Noodle Bar
Rejoice, ladies and gents, because the first of David Chang’s Momofuko restaurants has opened up in the illustrious Shangri-La Hotel (190 University Avenue). Noodle Bar is all about the ramen… exceedingly gourmet ramen that is. (Try the Kimchi Stew, dare you not to love it.) Also on slate are his famed stuffed buns and some noteworthy bites like the smoked chicken wings.

Just Opened: 25 Liberty
Where will you find 25 Liberty, the newly opened bistro in Liberty Village? At 25 Liberty Street of course. Luckily, the food found within goes much further than the moniker’s creativity. Think beautiful beef carpaccio, rack of lamb with stuffed artichokes, and truffle risotto. The latest haute comfort food spot also boasts a rich room with vibrant orange banquettes amidst white walls and walnut floors.

Oktoberfest at St Lawrence Market
Celebrate that oh-so-Bavarian of traditions at the St. Lawrence Market’s north building on October 4th at Toronto Oktoberfest. Lederhosen are optional, beer is not at this “Authentic Bavarian Festival.” Join hundreds of others as they ring in Oktoberfest in notable style, replete with dancers, brews, and tons of surprises all ready to celebrate what some like to call the “other St. Patty’s Day.”

Paws for the Cause Gala
On October 11th at 99 Sudbury, the b*tches are back for the 3rd annual Paws Gala in support of Paws for the Cause, an amazing endeavour that raises funds to help support the Central Ontario Veterinary Referral Program. Cheekily coined 99 Problems But a B*tch Ain’t One, this year’s gala features a doggie fashion, a wicked art show, raffles, drinks, dancing, and more.

Boobyball Presents Camp Booby
October 12th is the night you’ll get to help raise funds for Rethink Breast Cancer during their annual Boobyball, this year dubbed Camp Booby. Taking over Sound Academy (11 Polson Street), Camp Booby throws back to days gone by where urban swank will meet bug-juice cocktails, hot dog eating contests and tuck shop surprises, s’mores, and more will all find their way into this awesome event.
