On Sept 29 at the Virgin Mobile Mod Club (722 College Street), get ready for an epic battle as Abbey’s Kitchen Stadium (AKS) continues with Battle No. 3. Four of the city’s top chefs – Carl Heinrich, Dave Sidhu, Thomas Davis, and Dustin Gallagher – will be pitted against each other in a melee of culinary proportions. This is one food event you don’t want to miss.

Artbound’s The pARTy
One of Notable’s favourite annual events, Artbound’s The pARTy is bringing 90210 to the 416 on Sept 20 at Evergreen Brick Works (550 Bayview Avenue). Party in ’90s teen-angst style with the creme de la creme of Toronto’s social scene as you raise funds for Artbound, an initiative that helps support the amazing charity Free the Children.

JHR’s Night for Rights
When media puts the spotlight on human rights, positive change happens. Celebrate and toast the journalists both local and international that affect change with their eye-opening journalism at the Journalists for Human Rights (JHR) Night for Rights on Sept 26 at the Art Gallery of Ontario (317 Dundas Street West).

TEDxToronto
It’s back, baby! The coming together of some of the nation’s (and world’s) finest minds, TEDxToronto, takes place Sept 26 at Koerner Hall (273 Bloor Street West), melding speeches of interactive nature with some of the most thought-provoking insights from the smartest peeps around. Ready to break records, tequila fans? On Sept 19 at El Tromba Warehouse (260 Geary Avenue) join hundreds of tequila lovers for an official Guinness World Record attempt for the World’s Largest Tequila Tasting in honour of Mexico’s Independence Day. Aside from the record attempt, try Tromba’s latest premium releases alongside Latin cuisine from some of the city’s finest chefs.
