Burroughes’ Halloween Massacre
The annual Burroughes Haunted Mansion is back for another year of screams and dreams. Dubbed Halloween Massacre, you’ll be able to party in true spooky style at the historic building on Oct. 26 at 639 Queen Street West. The perennially petrified need not worry, however, the biggest fright you’re in for this night is some wicked awful white-boy dance moves.
Halloween Saints and Sinners
All ‘Saints and Sinners’ are invited to UNIUN (473 Adelaide Street West) Oct. 26 for a fright night of devilish delights. This event has prizes for best saint and sinner costumes, and music by Jed Dadson. Party it up with the city’s hottest poltergeists, wicked witches, and, likely, Miley Cyrus wannabes at this clubland shindig.
Hoxton Horror
The Hoxton’s tearing up the dancefloors and, of course, your souls at their annual Horror Halloween on Oct. 26. Joachim Garraud is headlining this howl, at the uber-cool venue found at 69 Bathurst Street. Ghoulish garb will be a la mode at this shindig, with proverbial Halloween tunes making their way into some of the howling mixes.
Dracula: A Love Story
Possibly the greatest romance ever told, Dracula: A Love Story takes over Casa Loma (1 Austin Terrace) on Oct. 30, presenting us with a modern-day take on Bram Stoker’s classic tale. Audience participation is part and parcel, where you’ll become part of the action following the performers through the gothic halls as they unearth the darkness that is Dracula.
Night of the Dead
Music by Soundboy and costume prizes are just part and parcel of Night of the Dead over at EFS (647 King Street West) on the hallowed evening, Oct. 31. Have you been practicing your Monster Mash…? Toronto’s newest nightlife venue will be transformed into the creepiest of haunted spaces for this frightful evening.
Singles Halloween Party
“One Life. Social Love.” If your thought of terror is being alone this Halloween, hit up Brooklynn Bar (1186 Queen Street West) on Oct 31 for the aptly titled Singles Halloween Party. This is the one to wear your, shall we say, sexier Halloween costumes at. Just be sure to not go as Coyote Ugly or you’ll be waking up alone on Nov 1.
