Just Re-opened: The Real Jerk
An uproar was heard citywide when The Real Jerk shut its doors at Broadview and Queen what seems like forever ago. An equally loud cheer rang throughout the streets upon its re-opening, however, at 842 Gerrard Street East. Now, the taste sensation that is The Real Jerk’s island cuisine is back, tempting tastebuds and delighting foodies across Toronto.

Just Opened: Delysees Bakery
Like premium French pastries? How about macarons? Perfect lattes? You’ve likely just answered yes three times, and thus you need to boogie on over to Delysees Bakery at 780 King Street West. The haute cafe serves up a scintillating selection of French sweets alongside grab-and-go options, and, naturally, supreme caffeinated cups.

Just Opened: The Fifth Pub House & Cafe
It’s official: five spots now occupy the innards of 225 Richmond Street West with the recent below-street-level openings of The Fifth Pub House and The Fifth Cafe. The massive space (it’s about 7,000 sq. ft.) sprawls along the bottom level. Split into two units, you have the bright and airy cafe on one side and a more rec room-esque pub on the other.

Just Opened: It’s All GRK
At 756 Queen Street West you’ll now find It’s All GRK, a casual joint that focuses on locally-sourced ingredients for their gyros, platters, and dinners. Taking a less-is-more approach to the famed Greek street meat, It’s All GRK has a trendy yet approachable atmosphere about it. When coupled with its prime eats, It’s All GRK is a definite must-try.

Just Opened: La Cubana
Fans of Cuban-inspired restaurant Delux on Ossington take note: They’ve opened up a second location, aptly called La Cubana, at 392 Roncesvalles Avenue. The new joint is in line with the amazing bites the first spot offers up. Bocaditos (snacks) are shareably super, as are the famed sammies and sippable cocktails. Get there fast before the whole city heads westward!

World MasterCard Fashion Week
The city’s getting a lot more stylish from Oct 21-26 with the arrival of World MasterCard Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014. With runway shows aplenty happening at David Pecaut Square (215 King Street West) featuring top designers like JOE Fresh, Klaxon Howl, David Dixon, Mackage and the list goes on, World MasterCard Fashion Week is a veritable style showdown.
