Just Opened: Bricco Kitchen and Wine Bar
At 3047 Dundas Street West in the Junction you’ll now find Bricco Kitchen and Wine Bar. This enoteca serves up Italian style food with a down-home touch and some modern flair thrown in the mix. The stunning wood-branch wall installation will draw your eyes, but the food will draw your appetite any night of the week.
Just Opened: Barrio Coreano
Over in the Annex, located at 642 Bloor Street West, you’ll see a new outpost of the Playa Cabana Empire. This one’s dubbed Barrio Coreano, and it definitely breaks the mold created by three other locations. Barrio has a Korean-inspired ingredient list in the famed tacos (appropriate being at Koreatown) as well as cocktails.
Just Opened: BOLT Fresh Bar
As the clean-eating trend continues to bolster in the city, we’re seeing new eateries that cater to this lifestyle pop up all over town. Case in point: BOLT Fresh Bar at 1170 Queen Street West. What’s on the menu? Healthful options, naturally, like salads, juices, smoothies, and grain bowls. They’ve also a selection of nutritive shots for the diehards out there.

Introducing TOMA Burger Addiction, another new burger joint on Queen West (at 712) that’s serving up classic yet creative takes on our favourite handheld eats.

At 926 King Street West you’ll now find King Rustic, a restaurant and lounge that caters to the discerning diners of DT West. They’ve an eclectic mix of food on offer – apropos given the multicultural nature of Toronto. There are also a slew of fusion cocktails, brunch on offer, and more surprises to come as the leave soft launch and enter full mode.
HoHoTO 2013
It’s back, and better than ever. Yes, HoHoTo is back for another instalment, with this year’s event happening on Dec. 19 at The Mod Club (722 College Street West). The big social media et. al. holiday party sees funds being raised for the Daily Bread Food Bank, an always worthwhile cause. Expect tons of drinks, great tunes, and some awesome holiday vibes.
