Just Opened: Rakia Bar’s 2.0
That’s right, a second Rakia Bar has opened up, this time in the Annex area at 690 Euclid Avenue. The new location follows in similar suit to the first: delectable Eastern European fare alongside a slew of tasty rakia (the namesake liquor). Expect an intriguing take on the night out at this second location, now open for business.
Culinary Showdown
On Dec. 7 at the Fairmont Royal York (100 Front Street West), get ready for an epic epicurean event when celebrity chef Tyler Florence hosts the Culinary Showdown in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Fundraisers will get to cook alongside some of Canada’s top culinary talent – like Lynn Crawford and Chuck Hughes – in this miraculous melee.
Movember Gala Parté
On Nov. 29 at the Kool Haus in the Guvernment Complex (132 Queens Quay East), get your mo’ on at the finale of Movember in Toronto. The Gala Parté will see mo-bros and mo-sisters out in fine form, winning prizes for such titular accomplishments like Ultimate Mo and Lame Mo. DJs Dwayne Gretzky, Mensa, and New Money will be laying down the tunes.
W100 Idea Exchange
On Nov. 26 at the Shangri-La Hotel (188 University Avenue), Profit and Chatelaine present the W100 Idea Exchange, an event designed specifically for women entrepreneurs. The Idea Exchange seeks to help businesswomen develop leadership skills to build profitable and personally fulfilling businesses. The program also includes the W100 Awards Luncheon.
