Notable Now Toronto: June 29, 2012

GLAS Wine Bar
A new wine bar has entered the Queen East strip, bringing with it a small but extremely well-priced wine list (no bottle is more than $40), and a cozy 20-seat space. The menu is farm-to-table, with dishes like braised Ontario lamb sausage and Kalopore Springs trout tartare, and red wine cake with salted caramel. Find it at 1118 Queen Street East.

Maizal Quesadilla Cafe
A new spot at 133 Jefferson Avenue, Maizal Quesadilla Cafe is serving up delicious Mexican food with interesting twists. Take the bean topped sopes, or the grilled quesadillas with caramelized onions, or the nopal with halloumi cheese and cactus. Their menu is locally-sourced, but still showcases the best from South of the Border.
