Just Opened: Belly Buster Submarines
Y’ready to get busted? Belly busted, that is. A near-40-year-old North York staple, Belly Buster Submarines is finally opening a second location. The new downtown outpost, at 389 King Street West, will serve the same mix of amazing eats in a casually cool space everso apropos for the downtown diners.
Just Opened: HR2 at Vaughan Mills
At Vauhan Mills (1 Bass Pro Drive), you’ll now find another outpost of Holt Renfrew’s HR2 store. HR2 is Holt Renfrew’s outlet store, where you can find amazing fashion pieces from of the world’s top designers, all at uber low prices. Vaughan Mills is the perfect location for this new shop, as it’s already brimming with some amazing outlet stores.
Just Opened: Origin North
For those who were disheartened when Colborne Lane closed its doors, perk up! Chef Claudio Aprile has opened a third location of his ever popular Origin restaurant brand. This one sits in the north at 2901 Bayview Avenue, Suite 300. Featuring the same eclectic eats Aprile is famed for (lobster ceviche with frozen chili dressing, anyone?) and some swank digs, Origin North is where good food is born.
Digital Dreams Music Fest
The Canada Day long weekend is going to rock for more reasons than the celebration of our flag. On June 29 and 30 at The Flats at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre (990 Lakeshore BLVD W), fist bump, move, shake, and groove to the sounds of the world’s hottest EDM DJs, like Tiesto, Grandtheft, Bob Sinclair, Dubfire and more.
TO Food Fest
Hopefully you’re hungry and jonesing for a fix of amazing cuisine, because on June 23 the TO Food Fest takes over the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto (5183 Sheppard Avenue East). Local restaurants, hidden gems, and even food trucks will make appearances as hundreds of hungry attendees will eat their way through the flavours of the city.
Boys’ Night Out
On July 11 at Evergreen Brick Works (550 Bayview Avenue), join Lifford Wine Agency for the annual awesome event that is Boys’ Night Out. This event has everything a man could want: food, cars, cigars, fine wine, live entertainment, golf, motorcycles and more. In support of Prostate Cancer Research, this is a great event for a great cause.
