Piola Restaurant
Piola is an Italian chain whose popularity took it international, establishing restaurants in the US, Brazil, Mexico, Turkey, Honduras and now Canada. It opened less than a week ago at 1165 Queen Street West, and its concept is based on the reinvention of the classic Italian Pizzeria. We hear it’s giving the likes of Terroni and Pizzeria Libretto a run for their money…

6th Annual Mistletoe Mixer
It wouldn’t be the holiday season without a festive-themed mixer, n’est-ce pas? The 6th Annual Mistletoe Mixer takes over Yorkville mainstay The Pilot’s second floor Stealth Lounge (22 Cumberland Street) for an evening, of mixing and mingling to beats that jingle and rock on Saturday the 17th.

The Midway State at MOD Club
The Midway State takes over the ‘Virgin Mobile’ Mod Club Saturday night as part of the Ontario-based band’s Maybe I’m Lost and I Like That tour. With special guests Jason Bajada and Shawn Hook, this concert is set to rock the house with songs old and some new, from The Midway State’s recently released Paris or India album.
