The Worlds of Imagination
Renowned DJ Bassnectar will be playing with special guests Torro Torro and Brillz at one of the biggest electronic dance, art and production events happening in Calgary this year. The Big 4 building on the Stampede grounds is hosting the Worlds of Imagination party on November 10th with mind-blowing visuals, cirque performers and music to keep you dancing all night. Emmylou Harris
Emmylou Harris will be in town on November 12th at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. This show will celebrate the recent collaboration between Harris and Rodney Crowell titled ‘Old Yellow Moon’. Harris has had an illustrious career and is a 12-time Grammy Award-winner. Harris has been busy making music for over four decades now. Crowell is no stranger to the music business either. Everyone from Johnny Cash and the Grateful Dead to Norah Jones has recorded Crowell’s songs. Harris and Crowell will be joined by Richard Thompson. Doors are at 7pm and show begins at 8pm. 

Gentleman’s Night 
On November 13th it’s all about dressing to impress and joining your fellow gentlemen! Join CRAFT for an evening of great food and beer as well as some insight into the history behind the brewery and beer featured. Chef Paul McGreevy creates a unique four-course dinner to pair with their partner brewmaster’s selection of beers. Tickets are $100 with 50 per cent of the proceeds going towards Movember. Soundasauras
The EPCOR brings you a festival dedicated to experimental media, audio and visual arts starting on November 14th. Soundasaurus will showcase a variety of artists who are pushing boundaries with their creative sounds, installations, films and performances. This year artists will include Ivan Reese, Loscil, Ceephax, Ian Campbell, Kyle Hinton and many more. There will be a free sound installation in the Arts and Learning Centre at the EPCOR Center. Overhaul
On November 14th, Studio Coalition brings you the charity event ‘Overhaul’, a night geared towards raising money to support The Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation and to fund cancer research for kids. Overhaul will feature artists, designers, musicians and guests speakers. You’ll also get the chance to hear about Calvin Locke’s inspirational 100-day journey across Canada. When Locke learned of a young girl’s battle with cancer last year, he gained the inspiration to tour his EP ‘Yukon to St. Johns’ with each show being played out of his van to raise money for ‘The Will to Survive’ organization. There will be artwork by the Kid Belo, food and beverages provided by Briggs Kitchen and Village Brewery. Tickets are $40.

Bon Appetit in Banff and Area
Starting on November 14th and running until the 24th, you are invited to enjoy all the wonderful culinary treats that Banff and Lake Louise have to offer. Bon Appetit is a food festival that celebrates dining in the Rockies and there will be 30 wonderful restaurants participating this year. All the restaurants involved in the festival will be offering three course meals and prix fixe options ranging from $25 to $45.
