Dancers In Love
Decidedly Jazz Danceworks presents Dancers In Love, which pays tribute to the past works of DJD Founder Vicki Adams Willis. The show will feature beautiful duets and a live band. First choreographed by Willis back in 1984, this duet is significant because it was featured by the company in one of the very first productions. If you enjoy the sounds of Duke Ellington, Theatre Grand and creative dance, then you’ll want to get get good seats. Dancers In Love runs from March 28th to April 6th.

Mark Sultan
Best known for his work with King Khan and the BBQ Show, Sultan is immersed in numerous music genres working as singer and drummer for more bands than you can count on your fingers. Spending his time between Montreal and Berlin, this rock n roller traverses the globe bringing his special style of punk, psychedelic rock and juke joint classics to the masses. Sultan will be lighting up the stage at Broken City on March 28th. This is a great way to spend your Friday evening.

The Secret Art of Dr. Seuss
There are certain things that are synonymous with childhood, like the Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham. Theodor Geisel, best known as Dr. Seuss, has delighted generations of children with clever rhymes, tall tales and unique characters. Running until April 3rd, the Cross-Roads Art Centre has a very special art exhibition up that showcases the secret art of Dr. Seuss. Anyone familiar with Geisel’s illustration will be delighted to see a new side to the artists. Most of this work resides in private collections, so this is a rare opportunity. The Art Centre is located at 1235 26th Avenue SW.

The Swine and Sow
Lately it feels like there’s a new restaurant opening in Calgary each week, and here’s one more to add the list of great new places to dine. MAMMA MIA!
The songs of ABBA inspired this sensational story and from April 16th to April 20th you can take part in the fun. Audiences will be transported to the beautiful Greek Islands where a young bride has invited three mystery men from her mother’s past in the hopes of finding her real father. Romance and popular musical numbers will ensue.  To date, there have been over 5000 sell-out performances of MAMMA MIA! in over 35 countries around the world. Shows will take place at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium and performances will begin at 8pm. There will also be Saturday and Sunday matinees.

Odysseo Cavalia
Are you ready for the ultimate equestrian experience? You’ll feel as though you’re floating through a dream when you are seated under the Odysseo Cavalia big top. This production celebrates the majestic beauty of horses – 14 different breeds to be exact – including the Arabian, Appaloosa, Spanish Purebred and Percheron.
