THE FUNK HUNTERS
Two of Vancouver’s finest funkateers are bringing their Ghetto Funk electronic act to our fair city this weekend. Dunks & The Outlier have headlined major music festivals, including Shambhala and Bass Coast. Friday Night Loose Moose
The late shows at the Loose Moose are just that; a little more loose. The forbidden impro techniques their regular shows don’t include will be on display at in their Chop Shop show this Friday at 10:30pm. The Loose Moose performers are looking for laughs as they entertain you with team-on-team impro-battles, music, sketch comedy, puppetry, robotics and more. Moving Images and Sound Collective Festival 2013
Illingworth Kerr Gallery and Alberta College of Art + Design are presenting a program of films and speakers investigating the creative process at the Glenbow Museum. Follow the creative path of emerging artists throughout the weekend with films starting at 7pm on Friday and 1pm on Saturday.Admission is free, but get there early as it’s on a first come, first served basis. Born Ruffians
The Canadian indie rock band from Toronto will be rocking out at the Palomino this Friday. Make sure you see the post-punk revival group as they start out their tour, which has them crisscrossing North America through the end of May. Grab some BBQ upstairs before heading down to check out the band, who has toured with the likes of Hot Chip and Franz Ferdinand. Their new album Birthmarks comes out in April. 109-7th Avenue SW

Stompin’ Tom Tribute with Matt Masters
