Summer Launch Party
On June 7th the Glenbow is throwing an art party to kick off the summer season. This is your first chance to view the noteworthy Masterworks exhibition while you sip on champagne and party like royalty. The summer launch party will be one classy affair with high-end libations, great fashion, first-rate entertainment and a backdrop that will include works by Salvador Dali, Henri Matisse and Eugene Delacroix. Don’t miss out on a fabulous evening. To purchase tickets, click here.

The Breast Fundraiser Around
Ladies, you’re in luck! On June 12th you can stop into Vagabond Brewery to participate in the fourth annual bachelor auction. For only $10 you can take in some serious eye candy and bid on the handsome bachelors who will be auctioned off throughout the evening. According to sources, there will be a UFC fighter and well-known comedian ready to hear your best offer. Sales from all tickets will be going towards the Rethink Breast Cancer organization.

Adult Night
The second Thursday of every month at TELUS Spark might be called Adult Night, but this really is just a fun opportunity to experience being a kid again. From 6 to 10 p.m. on June 12th, the science centre is off limits to kiddies, which means the space and exhibits are yours to explore. The evening will also feature a licensed bar and DJ. This month the focus is on food and chemistry and you’ll get to explore fermentation, molecular gastronomy, mixology, and find out what kind of foods actually shatter on impact when treated with liquid nitrogen.

The Pig and Pinot Festival
City Palate Magazine is throwing their annual Pig and Pinot party on June 18th where guests will have a chance to sample a succulent selection of swine and wine with all proceeds going to the Meals on Wheels charity. Thirteen chefs will prepare their signature dishes using Broek Pork Acres’ Berkshire pigs while the city’s top sommeliers provide a grand selection of Pinot Noir (the perfect pairing). Once you’ve had your fill of food and drink you can also check out the solstice-inspired silent auction and the Sillybooth courtesy of Photobolic Inc. For tickets, click here.

Bike Prom
Good Life Bikes and Cyclepalooza present Bike Prom 2014 as the kick-off party to the Cyclepalooza Bike Festival. This is going to be an impressive promenade of old vintage cruisers, road bikes and everything in between as fans of two wheels hit the streets with panache. If you’re looking to relive prom, then show up to Hillhurst Sunnyside Community Association on June 27th at 7:30 p.m. in your flashiest dress or suit. Following a bike ride around town, the party will commence back at the Community Association where you can enjoy some dancing and live music for $10.
