Cassis
It’s all about staying high and dry this week and this is a great chance to visit Cassis, the charming bistro at the top of 17th Avenue. Run by Gilles Brassart, Cassis provides Calgarians with a taste of Southern French cuisine. The produce is handpicked from Market 17 next door and the wine list showcases the wonderful selection of French and Canadian wines from J Webb market, which is also on the same block. If you go for dinner, consider trying the Sunworks Farm chicken liver pate, or for a main try the Broek Acres pork chop with pomme puree. Cassis is located at #105 2505 17th Ave SW. For reservations call 403-262-0036.
