Calgary Folkfest: July 26-29
The 32nd annual Calgary Folk Music Festival is happening in Calgary over the weekend.  For those of you who love music, head over to Prince’s Island Park to catch over 68 artists from 14 countries on 7 stages. There will also be a beer gardens, food vendors and various kiosks for you to peruse.

Olympic Coverage: July 27-August 12
Want to catch the Olympic coverage? Downtown Calgary will feature CTV’s coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Games on a massive state-of-the-art LED screen located on Stephen Avenue between 2 St SW and 3 St SW. Starting with the Opening Ceremonies at noon on July 27th, and for 17 days straight days this is the celebration site in Calgary.

Electric Vibefest: July 28
Calgary’s newest, largest and hottest outdoor electronic music festival will be taking place from 10:00am to 11:00pm at Canada Olympic Park (88 Canada Olympic Road SW) with the most sought after, world recognized electronic music artists taking the stage. Spend the day under the sun dancing to 20+ DJs and performers.

Chinatown Walking Tour: July 29
Curious about the city’s vibrant Chinatown? Discover the culture and personality hidden inside one of Calgary’s oldest neighbourhoods on a free walking tour from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Stay after for more entertainment and fun at the Calgary Chinese Cultural Centre

Made With Love: July 30
Sipping cocktails in an amazing venue is exactly how you should be spending your Monday night. Join twelve of the city’s best bartenders from some of the most notable restaurants in town at The Art Gallery of Calgary (117-8 Avenue SW) for Made With Love. Vote on your favourite cocktail creation and enjoy complimentary food and music. 

Now Open: Cowboys Nightclub at the Cowboys Casino
The city’s legendary nightclub is back and officially opens this weekend. The new location at Cowboys Casino (421 12th Ave. SE) is classy and contemporary, but it’s still going to be “The Most Fun You Can Have With Your Boots On!”
