U:Party for U:End Poverty: August 18
Celebrate six years and nearly $1 million donated to global poverty-ending projects at this fundraising celebration. Enjoy an evening of amazing music from four great bands –Makeshift Innocent, Jocelyn Alice, Trinity Branshaw and Kris Demeanor. Globalfest: August 16 – 26
Showcasing Calgary’s cultural diversity and artistic excellence, the festival celebrates multicultural intensity and spectacular international pyro-musical displays over six nights at Elliston Park (17 Ave & 60 St SE). Enjoy the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes at the OneWorld Festival, and sit back to enjoy the Fireworks Festival as it illuminates the sky with a symphony of music and world-class fireworks.

ReggaeFest: August 15 – 18
Calgary’s reggae music festival returns to the city with three days of musical entertainment for you to experience. Head to Shaw Millennium Park (1220 – 9 Ave SW), on Saturday for the Main Stage Event. Taking place throughout the day (11:00am – 11:00pm), there will be live performances from Canadian and international Reggae artists, a beer garden, and food vendors. 

Taste of Calgary: August 16 – 19
Love food? Head to Eau Claire’s Festival Plaza for the city’s premier festival celebrating international foods and beverages. Indulge in sample-size menu items at sample-size pricing from Calgary’s finest food and beverage establishments, with flavours such as Cajun, Caribbean, East Indian, and Persian.
