Notable Nine: What is the Best Restaurant Patio in Toronto?

Last week we asked you about Toronto’s best burger and Notable favourite Toma Burger Addiction took down the title in one of our closest votes yet.

In this week’s Notable Nine, we want you to tell us all about the best patio this city has to offer. With summer finally deciding to show up (sort of) we can’t think of a better way to spend our days. To be clear, we’re talking about a patio that also offers food and drink, rather than just bottle service and DJs. Hotels are out of the mix too (sorry, Thompson). While there are far more more than just nine fine outdoor spaces in T.O., here’s a citywide selection of our favourites. If you don’t find your patio preference on the list, let us know what it is with a strong statement, a selfie, or a simple geo-tag shout-out.

Allen’s
We have no idea why they make such a big deal about being air-conditioned when they have a back patio like this.

Hemingway’s
It’s more than one level and it’s in Yorkville. What else do you want?

Cadillac Lounge
Parkdale patio living at its best.

The Caledonian
Real trees. A cozy atmosphere. This is a hidden gem.

Bellwoods Brewery
A front row seat on one of the hottest foodie strips in the city. Oh, and something about beer.

The Chase
Upscale patioing (yup, it’s a verb). A view, food, and atmosphere worthy of, um, pursuing.

El Catrin
It’s HUGE, heated, and comes with Canada’s largest mescal and tequila bar. This is the correct response.

Czehoski
An oldie but a goodie, this Queen W. mainstay’s second floor garden patio is still an urban oasis worth checking out.

Amsterdam Brewhouse
It’s surrounded by water on three sides. In Toronto. We know, we didn’t think it was possible either.

Other
This one’s up to you – just don’t forget your sunscreen.
