Without further adieu, here’s our August Notable Listens:

1. Lifespan with Dr. David Sinclair

Something that’s on the minds of the majority of the population is, of course, aging. Lifespan features the world-renowned aging research doctor, David Sinclair, Ph.D. As a professor of genetics and the co-director of Harvard Medical School’s Center for Biology of Aging Research, it’s clear that Dr. Sinclair is knowledgeable in the topic.

I love this podcast because it provides practical, actionable advice that’s all backed by science yet digestible enough for someone who’s not in the medical field to understand. If you’re in the market to learn not only the science behind aging but also interventions for slowing and even reversing aging, this podcast is for you.

2. My Dad Wrote a Porno

So if you haven’t heard of this podcast, you have to listen. And if you’ve heard of this podcast but haven’t listened yet, run to your phone immediately and hit play. This podcast is truly hilarious in all aspects.

My Dad Wrote a Porno features the narrative of Jamie Morton discovering his dad’s “dirty book” that he oh-so eloquently wrote. Upon discovery of this masterpiece, Jamie decided the world must have the opportunity to read it as well. Thus, My Dad Wrote a Porno was born and in every episode, Jamie reads a chapter out of the book along with the help of his friends James Cooper and Alice Levine.

3. The School of Greatness

Ready to get inspired, motivated, and encouraged to push yourself harder! The School of Greatness is hosted by the New York Times best-selling author, 2x All-American athlete, keynote speaker, and entrepreneur, Lewis Howes.

This is one of my top mindset and personal growth podcasts that I tune into. Lewis Howes does an amazing job of connecting with his guests and pulling unique insights and perspectives when it comes to living the best life possible. All episodes feature conversations with world-renowned leaders in business, entertainment, sports, science, health, and literature.

4. How’s Work? with Esther Perel

Going back to one of my favourite podcast hosts, Esther Perel, the iconic couples therapist. In How’s Work? Esther sits down with colleagues to discuss workplace challenges and navigate the sometimes difficult ecosystem that makes up a company.

In this season of the podcast, Esther Perel sits down with colleagues that are trying to adapt to the new work-from-home workforce, newsrooms whose journalists feel that breaking news has broken them, doctors who want to walk away, and so much more.

5. Why Won’t You Date Me?

Hosted by the comedian and host of the Netflix series that we all love, Nailed It, Nicole Byer is breaking down her decade-long single life. In Why Won’t You Date Me? Nicole is questioning why she’s single even when she’s smart, funny, and as she says, has a “fat ass”.

Nicole goes on a quest to find the answer to this mysterious question. She invites comedians, friends, and even ex-flings to come onto the show to try to help give her some answers. And let me say, the past conversations on this podcast are incredibly juicy!
