Just in time for some serious Sochi celebrations as world athletes converge on Russia, Festival Under the Bridge returns for another year of sport-minded festivities. Now celebrating its second year (as part of the Winterruption Festival), we’ve got an inside scoop on all the edible goods you’ll want to know about!
It all goes down on Granville Island February 14 through 16, with more than 1500 people expected to filter through this outdoor food fest inspired by Olympic-sized fun. Edible Canada House (sponsored by Edible Canada) will once again be showing live and pre-recorded Olympic events on giant projection screens courtesy of Preston Mobility throughout the weekend.
To satiate appetites, attendees can nosh their way through a menu featuring quintessentially Canadian grub we know you’ll love. Catered by Savoury Chef, chow down on tasty bites like Alberta brisket, maple flapjacks, perogies and event Elk chili.
Cool down with a cool craft brew thanks to Granville Island Brewing pouring a selection of seasonal favourites alongside local wines and spirits. Oh, and don’t forget to save room for a trip to Edible Canada’s own Caesar Bar where you can make your own zesty creation… it doesn’t get much more Canadian that that.
To cap off the fun and games, Edible Canada House is set to showcase a lineup of live entertainment, DJs and more to get and keep the party started until late.
