Netflix is Officially Bringing Full House Back with a New 13 Episode Series

Have mercy!

In news that will brighten the mornings of countless young professionals around the world, Full House is finally coming back to television.

And no, we’re not just talking about re-runs.

Last night, Uncle Jesse himself, the seemingly ageless John Stamos, revealed the amazing news on an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“We’ve been working on this for many, many, years,” said 51-year-old Stamos.

The brand-new 13-episode series, appropriately called Fuller House, will hit Netflix next year. Stamos will produce and guest star in the series, which will feature DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron-Bure), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber).

According to Netflix, discussions are ongoing with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (Michelle), Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey), Bob Saget (Danny Tanner), and Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky) about making guest appearances on the show.

As for the Olsen twins, they definitely don’t need the cash – they’re reportedly worth a cool $300 million.

Still, we can only hope.

Not only have we hoped for a Full House reunion since the evening that last episode aired, we’ve heard rumours about it in the last little while too. The original cast has even hinted at it with things like group shots on social media and a rendition of the original theme song performed by Lori Loughlin, Andrea Barber, Bob Saget, and Jodie Sweetin at Full House creator Jeff Franklin’s birthday party.

Fuller House will begin with a one-hour reunion, where the roles are reversed when DJ finds herself widowed with two sons and a third on the way (like that family needed anymore tragedy, right?).

The sassy middle sibling, Stephanie Tanner, has become an aspiring musician, while the obnoxious former neighbour, Kimmy Gibler, is now a single mom with her own feisty daughter to deal with.

As history repeats itself, the unlikely group finds themselves living under the same roof.

Oh, 90s TV – how good to have you back.

Will we be watching? You got it, dude!
