You know when a restaurant’s name translates to ‘tie me up’ in Spanish (Atame; 351 Duluth), it’s bound to be a “hot”spot. Plateau’s newest resident is set to open its doors to the public tomorrow and will allow foodies to experience something quite different and special. Atame is a restaurant, lounge, cabaret, and art gallery all at once, so expect eye candy at every corner sprawled out over the 2500 square feet of chic space.

The restaurant is especially unique for its tasty aphrodisiac food and drinks, offering an innovative blend of culinary delights in a tapas-style menu. To give you an idea of the menu, some signature dishes include pan-seared scallops with kefir lime, saffron and coconut, soy-truffle quail, slow-roasted filet mignon with pomegranate jus, and duck breast with fresh figs, quinoa and fig reduction.
The cocktail list is full of love potions and elixirs promising a ‘spanking’ good time. The cocktails are infused with unusual aphrodisiac ingredients such as Maca, Muira Puama, Damiana, Tribulus terrestris, Tongkat Ali and, perhaps most interestingly of all, a weed called Horny Goats Weed. We can’t make this stuff up!
The sexy atmosphere wouldn’t be complete without live performances, and ATAME will have plenty of those. Featuring burlesque dancers, live music and dancing (jazz, bossa nova, bolero, flamenco, tango), it’s slightly reminiscent of a smaller scale version of Paris’ Moulin Rouge.

ATAME will celebrate its official grand opening event to the public on Saturday, October 5, at 6pm, which will include live music, burlesque shows, and DJ presentations… so come by 351 rue Duluth East and join the sizzling night.
