Must Try: The Chickery

Think of The Chickery as Swiss Chalet for the gourmand. David Adjey's recently-opened casual-fine hot spot offers more takes on chicken than you could every possibly ask for. You'll probably head down there after reading this

The Chickery is David Adjey’s ascent into the world of darn good fast food at darn good prices. Think of it as Swiss Chalet for the gourmand. Nestled on Spadina Avenue, just south of the hustle and bustle of always-busy Chinatown, The Chickery is serving up some “Real Tasty Chicken & Sides.”

Casual fine eateries are always beloved in the city. On-the-go business folk and the metropolitan crowd love a quick bite with some serious punch. Look at the recent obsession with food trucks for more proof. The Chickery banks on this sort of craze for great grab-and-go dining.

Celebrity Chef David Adjey teamed up with What a Bagel’s Danny Farbman (someone who knows a thing or two about quality QSRs), and is serving up some delightful chicken dishes. Order a whole chicken to split four ways with any accompaniment from shoestring fries to chopped collard greens. Grab a roasted Mediterranean hand-crafted sandwich on the go. Or how about some seriously good buttermilk chicken fingers?

We’re excited for The Chickery’s impending success and how it will evolve. Chickens get a bad rap for being bland and boring. But Chef Adjey and The Chickery’s team are proving naysayers wrong by doing simple food with a whole lot of pizzazz.
