The Danforth’s got itself a brand new bag…and it ain’t Greek. Or at least, not completely. 417 Restaurant and Lounge opened but a couple weeks ago, and it’s bringing the supper club to the Danny, something it’s been missing for awhile.
The menu is mainly Mediterranean, though you may find some French influences poking about in the execution. Exec Chef Kai Zyganiuk is at the kitchen’s helm, directing a menu of gourmet apps, haute entrees, and some ever-so-sweet desserts. Try the Pan Fried Pressed Feta to start, or maybe the Crispy Dusted Calamari. For a main, you can’t go wrong with Braised Beef Ravioli with Black Truffle (seriously a stone groove smash hit wonder), and the California Air Almond Cake is superb.
The space is vast…really, really vast. We’re talking almost 300 seats. The mezzanine is a nice on-looking spot, perfect for a date, and the West wall bar is after-work cocktail heaven. There are, to be expected, private booth areas as well, so no matter your occasion, you’ll likely find what you’re looking for at 417.
